Extending from the Arc de Triomphe, the area is lined with chic restaurants, shops and exclusive boutiques.

Amongst the new attractions is the neighborhood in and around the ruins of the Bastille prison which has been transformed into a hub of Parisian nightlife. Here, one finds a range of popular café joints, restaurants, and clubs apart from the Opera Bastille.

One of the most outstanding achievements which can be said to be a representation of French civic pride is the breathtaking Eiffel Tower. A visitor to the tower will be surprised that most spectacular views can be seen from all floors of the tower which stands at 320 metres high. People generally walk part of the way up and complete the journey by lift. An estimated six million people a year pay a visit to this towering edifice.

The endless shopping opportunities make Paris a haven for the tourists. Shopping for perfumes, cheese, wine, elegantly fine jewellery and antiques in this magnificent city is worth every penny.
